In another world
So close, but still so far away
Made by a dreamer for just one day
Flame-licked flowers bloom by moonlight
In velvet darkness
They light the night
High above the silver grass
Hang crystal spires
Of liquid glass
And fantastic beasts
here congregate
Called there by the hand of fate
Shifting hides of molten lead
Feathered phoenix
A blaze of red
Gossamer serpents of living light
All fanciful beasts
Gather in the night
Under the full moon they the dance
Silver dragons and white stags
On the moonlit plain they prance
Golden feathers fly like flags
And as the crimsom dawn arrives
The gathering is over
Winged things sail back through golden skies
And mist-beasts to their patches of clover
And then soon the dreamer wakens
Taking apart her world of creation
And the world sleeps until the next night
The next time when the dreams take flight
